We are looking for an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Rockville, MD. If you thrive on high-volume, high-variety, and making families feel heard when their kid is sick at 6pm on a Friday — this role is for you.

About the Role
You will provide comprehensive, high-quality urgent care to infants, children, and adolescents — diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and minor injuries in a collaborative, well-supported clinical environment. Shifts are structured and predictable. No hospital call. No overnight hours.

This is a part-time to full-time opportunity with shift flexibility built in from day one.

What You’ll Do
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of pediatric urgent care presentations — respiratory infections, fever, GI illness, lacerations, minor fractures, and more
  • Perform minor procedures: suturing, splinting, wound care, I&D, foreign body removal
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies including rapid testing and lab work (no on-site imaging)
  • Prescribe medications and treatments per state regulations and practice protocols
  • Document patient encounters accurately and in real time using eClinicalWorks EMR
  • Educate patients and caregivers on diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians on complex or escalating cases
  • Contribute to quality improvement, team meetings, and a positive clinic culture

What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP or PA program
  • Current, unrestricted NP or PA license in Maryland (required)
  • Board certification as a Pediatric NP, Family NP, or Physician Assistant
  • Minimum 3 years of pediatric urgent care or pediatric emergency medicine experience (strongly preferred)
  • Active DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • BLS certification (on-site certification available if needed)
  • Comfort performing minor procedures in an urgent care setting
  • Ability to work evenings until 7:00 PM and rotating Saturdays

Schedule & Shifts
Shifts are 6 or 12 hours. Available shift windows:
  • 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (occasional)

Saturday availability required on a rotating basis. Evening coverage until 7:00 PM required.
