Potomac Pediatrics is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who can provide compassionate and collaborative therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and young adults. This position provides weekly clinical supervision and requires a desire to work towards independent clinical licensure. In addition to clinical supervision, further opportunities for training will be available.

Hours: Flexible, will require 2 evening shifts per week with office closing at 7pm

Job Duties:
- Provides quality therapy to assigned patient caseload.
- Conducts intake assessments, assesses medical and clinical status of patients, and establishes appropriate diagnosis according to DSM-5 standards and definitions.
- Develops treatment plans based on intake and diagnosis to establish clear and measurable goals and objectives for client treatment.
- Interfaces and collaborates with Staff Psychiatrist, patient’s Pediatrician and other clinical staff as needed.
- Ensures clinical documentation is completed in a timely manner throughout the course of treatment
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Master of Social Work from college or university accredited by the Council of Social Work Education
- Active Maryland Social Worker license (LMSW) required and demonstrated interest in working towards an independent clinical license (LCSW-C)
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and substance abuse
- Knowledge of psychosocial disorders, diagnoses, therapies, and childhood development
- Ability to diagnosis patients utilizing the DSM-5
- Demonstrated interest in working with children, adolescents and young adults in a therapeutic setting.
- Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Techniques preferred
