Medical Assistant – Pediatric Urgent Care
Medical Assistant – Pediatric Urgent Care
A fast-paced pediatric setting. A supportive team. A workplace where you can actually enjoy coming to work.
We’re looking for an energetic, experienced Medical Assistant to join our pediatric urgent care team. If you enjoy working with children, thrive in a busy clinical setting, and want to be part of a workplace that is fun, collaborative, organized, and well supported, this could be a great fit.
This is not an entry-level Medical Assistant position. Candidates must have at least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in an emergency room or urgent care setting. Pediatric experience is strongly preferred.
Our urgent care environment is fast-moving, but it isn’t chaotic. We have established systems, experienced team members, and actively involved leadership that is approachable, available, and willing to jump in when needed. You’ll work alongside providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff who genuinely work together to keep the day moving and provide an excellent experience for our patients and families.

A collaborative clinical team where everyone pitches in when things get busy
Variety in your workday — pediatric urgent care keeps things interesting
The opportunity to continue developing your clinical skills alongside an experienced pediatric team
A workplace where good ideas, initiative, and professional growth are encouraged

Helping maintain efficient patient flow during busy urgent care shifts
Recognizing when a patient may require more immediate clinical attention and promptly involving the appropriate clinical team member

Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in an emergency room or urgent care setting is required
Pediatric experience is strongly preferred
Medical Assistant certification/registration is preferred
Current BLS certification is preferred or must be obtained within the required timeframe

Who Thrives Here
You'll likely love this position if you genuinely enjoy working with children and families, like having a workday that moves quickly, and prefer being part of a team where everyone contributes.
We're looking for someone who brings experience and confidence to the role without losing the willingness to learn. You should be comfortable taking initiative, communicating with providers and nurses, and adapting as patient needs change throughout the day.
The Environment
Pediatric urgent care is busy, hands-on, and sometimes unpredictable... and that's part of what makes it fun. One minute you may be helping with a strep test and the next assisting with an injury or comforting a nervous child.
What makes our environment different is the support behind the pace. You're not expected to figure everything out on your own. Our leadership team is actively involved in day-to-day operations, our providers are approachable, and our clinical staff work together to make sure both patients and team members are supported.
We're looking for someone who wants more than just their next Medical Assistant job. We want someone who is looking for a great team, strong leadership, an engaging workday, and a place where they can grow.
If you have the urgent care or emergency room experience we're looking for, love pediatrics, and want to work with a team that takes excellent patient care seriously without taking itself too seriously, we'd love to meet you.
